Full Time, Temp-to-Perm Position Overview
The Import Specialist will oversee the full life cycle of order management and international logistics, ensuring seamless coordination from order initiation through final delivery. This role requires a highly detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong communication skills and the ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Order & Inventory Management Manage order flow from sales order initiation through final delivery to the customer.
Scan, enter, and maintain orders across multiple systems while tracking shipments across various channels.
Ensure purchase order accuracy and verify supplier documentation.
Evaluate and determine order placement timing based on supply levels.
Maintain and monitor minimum and maximum inventory thresholds to support fulfillment needs.
Logistics Coordination Coordinate and monitor
Air & Ocean Imports, Exports, and Trucking
activities.
Utilize logistics expertise to improve transportation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Arrange and support domestic and international logistics as needed.
Monitor import and domestic deliveries to ensure timely and accurate receipt.
Vendor & Customer Communication Communicate daily with overseas vendors to manage incoming shipments and documentation.
Provide consistent, proactive follow-up with vendors and customers to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal team members.
Issue Resolution & Compliance Handle shipment damages, discrepancies, and follow-ups through resolution.
Demonstrate vigilant follow-through from order receipt to delivery, keeping customers informed throughout.
Maintain organized records and support compliance with regulatory requirements as needed.
Team Collaboration & General Support Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members.
Contribute to process improvements and support various logistics or supply chain initiatives.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Ideal Candidate Profile Experience & Knowledge 3-5 years of logistics or planning experience
within a product-based industry.
Direct experience with
Importing/Exporting , specifically Air & Ocean shipments.
Strong foundational understanding of endtoend supply chain and transportation processes.
Skills & Competencies Extremely
detail-oriented , accurate, and highly organized.
Persistent problem solver with a
takecharge, urgent mindset .
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage competing demands while remaining adaptable and flexible.
Proven self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to build and maintain strong vendor and client relationships.

Technical Skills Proficient in
Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel .
QuickBooks experience is a plus, not a must
