We are seeking a dedicated professional to excel in loan processing, ensuring that files meet all underwriting standards and are complete for submission. In this role, you will gather essential information (including loan applications, credit documents, and appraisals) essential for completing mortgage loan files. You will work in compliance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations. The target compensation for this position ranges from $58,000.00 to $70,000.00.
Your Responsibilities:
Review loan submissions, track incoming documents, and verify data collected by Brokers.
Gather essential documents to process and finalize mortgage loan files.
Input loan information into our Loan Origination System (LOS).
Manage open files, order appraisals, send verification requests, and gather documentation related to the Borrower and property.
Ensure your work aligns with Company policies, procedures, and investor guidelines.
Guarantee that all loans are processed according to Company and Investor guidelines.
Communicate with Escrow Officers, Title Officers, Realtors, Closing Agents, and Appraisal Management Companies to address outstanding issues.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve outstanding matters effectively.
Notify Account Executives, Brokers, and borrowers about discrepancies and loan status updates.
Assess credit information on mortgage loan documents to determine eligibility for loan programs.
Verify credit reports and flood certificates as needed.
Submit completed files to the Underwriting Department for approval.
Gather necessary documentation to clear stipulations before loan documents and funding.
Ensure compliance deadlines are met for issuing initial disclosures, approval letters, and denial notices.
Process 4506T forms, lock confirmations, and requests for Change of Circumstance (COCs) as necessary.
Proactively track your pipeline to secure timely funding of loans.
Assist the Post Closing Department in ensuring the loan is ready for purchase in the secondary market.
Your Qualifications: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding borrower information in line with the Company's privacy policy.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of mortgage loan processing and underwriting guidelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office technology.
Strong customer service skills are essential.
Show exceptional organizational skills and manage multiple tasks seamlessly.
Maintain regular communication with borrowers and internal teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capability to handle detailed tasks with precision.
Ability to prioritize work efficiently and meet deadlines.
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
Three or more years of loan processing experience is required.
Experience with Encompass/Empower preferred.
Familiarity with Desktop Underwriting (DU), Loan Prospector (LP), or other Automated Underwriting systems is a plus.
