Role Summary
The Key Account Leader (KAL) is a high-visibility, high-impact sales role focused on strategic account growth in eye care. The position partners with Territory Leaders to unlock potential across priority customers, serving as an educator and business driver to shape market presence and accelerate growth. It requires owning outcomes with discipline and creativity and influencing how eye care evolves within the organization. Responsibilities
Deliver sales results across defined strategic targets and geography, driving adoption and utilization to exceed goals through compliant, high-impact engagement Use business acumen, analytics, insights, and field intelligence to identify growth opportunities and performance drivers Develop and execute strategic and tactical account plans that translate data into action Understand stakeholder priorities within key accounts and tailor engagement to accelerate adoption Execute a disciplined call strategy to deepen relationships and expand product experience Leverage market access opportunities to expand reach and improve patient pathways Prioritize and manage a diverse portfolio of strategic accounts with clarity and focus Share ongoing insights with leadership and internal stakeholders to capture feedback Set the standard for compliant teamwork with partner territory leaders and cross-functional teams to maximize sales performance Drive a culture of commitment, empowerment, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration Adapt effectively in a complex selling environment and ensure PDMA compliance with guidelines Share best practices to elevate national performance and connect opportunities to sales leadership Engage territory opportunities and strategic customers to foster a culture of customer connectivity Develop expert knowledge of the eye care ecosystem and clinical decision-making across stakeholders Navigate practice workflows and align clinical insights with practice needs to elevate patient care Integrate market access considerations into strategic recommendations and build relationships with key opinion leaders Serve as a trusted clinical and product expert to enhance the organization’s reputation in eye care Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field or commensurate experience Required:
At least 8 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical sales, account management, market access or relevant healthcare, with a minimum of 4+ years in direct pharmaceutical sales Required:
Proven track record of top-tier sales performance Required:
Highly adaptable, with strong communication, teamwork, and change-management skills Required:
Ability to manage complex or strategic accounts with problem-solving and collaboration Required:
Competencies in selling skills, impact and influence, account management, data-driven decision making, relationship building, and GRIT Preferred:
Eye care experience and successful launch experience Preferred:
Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic market environment Education

This is a field-based position reporting to the District Sales Leader Geography: Candidates must live in Denver or Salt Lake City 40–60%+ travel may be required within the geography; additional travel may be required to customer conventions and HQ
