Our client, A leading home builder in Florida is looking for a Purchasing Agent with a strong background in residential construction to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire procurement process, from sourcing materials to ensuring timely delivery for home building projects.
What you will be doing:
Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services required for home building projects. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Prepare detailed cost comparisons and bid recaps. Conduct quality inspections on incoming inventory to ensure it meets company standards. Monitor inventory levels and place orders to prevent shortages. Ensure all purchases and procurement processes comply with federal regulations and company policies. Collaborate with project managers and other internal teams to understand project needs and timelines. Process purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement-related documents accurately and efficiently. Resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with vendors.
What you must have:
Must have experience in home building or residential construction. A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
