
Our client, a wellestablished manufacturing company near West Allis, WI, is seeking a detaildriven
Purchasing Agent
to support their procurement and supply chain operations. This temporary role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and comfortable working with vendors, production teams, and internal stakeholders in a fastpaced environment. Key Responsibilities Source and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies to support daily manufacturing operations.
Create, review, and process purchase orders; verify pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Communicate with suppliers to follow up on delivery status, resolve delays, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse/production teams to prevent shortages.
Evaluate vendor quotes and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to support cost initiatives.
Track and reconcile order discrepancies, nonconforming materials, and returns.
Maintain purchasing files, records, and reports in alignment with company procedures.
Support general supply chain, materials, or administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related experience preferred.
Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Excel; ability to learn ERP or MRP systems quickly.
Strong communication, organization, and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently in a fastmoving environment.
Pay:
$23-$27/hr
Pay Details:
$22.00 to $27.00 per hour
