As a Senior Employee Relations Investigator, you will be at the forefront of fostering a workplace that upholds our values and promotes integrity. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will conduct thorough investigations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every situation is handled with care and respect.
This role requires extensive travel to Ford facilities in southeast Michigan, four days a week, with occasional travel to other locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough investigations into workplace issues and concerns, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, and violations of company policy.
Exercise sound judgment in making recommendations based on investigation findings.
Collaborate with the Human Resources and Labor Relations teams to ensure effective resolution of cases involving both union-represented and salaried employees.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive investigation documentation, tracking case activity to identify trends and recommend proactive measures.
Develop clear and concise investigation reports to communicate findings effectively.
Work cross-functionally on matters related to employee relations, performance management, and discipline.
Support the grievance and arbitration process; actively engage in litigation as necessary.
Coach and counsel employees on HR policies, performance management strategies, and other relevant issues.
Promote ethical behavior and compliance aligned with company policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
3+ years of experience in HR investigations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a manufacturing or multi-facility environment.
Previous experience conducting EEO/harassment investigations.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Master's degree in a related field.
HR generalist or Labor specialist background.
Proven leadership, integrity, and exceptional communication skills.

This position is classified at salary grade 8.
