Overview Join a thriving, high-growth Real Estate Practice Group in the heart of New York City. We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-energy Paralegal to support our attorneys in executing complex, high-stakes real estate transactions. This is a role for a proactive professional who thrives on the closing process and wants to own the lifecycle of a deal—from due diligence to the final closing binder.
The Work High-Complexity Transactions
Transactional Support:
Assist in the execution of mortgage and mezzanine financings, high-value acquisitions, and dispositions.
Due Diligence & Research:
Lead the charge on title, zoning, and survey research. You will manage and coordinate the entire title/survey review process.
Closing Mastery:
Act as the central hub for real estate closings. This includes preparing signature page packets, managing distribution, and resolving all post-closing matters with precision.
Document Management:
Under attorney supervision, assist with the drafting and organization of legal documents and the creation of comprehensive closing binders.
Information Governance:
Maintain elite standards for client file maintenance, ensuring both electronic (EMF) and hardcopy records are barcoded, labeled, and archived per firm policy.
The Profile: Expertise & Professionalism
Experience:
3+ years of paralegal experience specifically within a Real Estate practice. Experience coordinating the work of case clerks or junior paralegals is a major plus.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong command of Microsoft Office and specialized legal research databases. You should be comfortable pulling and analyzing documents from online resources independently.
Billable Mindset:
A clear understanding of the billable hour model, with a commitment to maintaining accurate, daily time logs and meeting firm revenue expectations.

Qualifications
High School diploma required;
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
Paralegal certificate or NALA certification is a significant advantage.
Intermediate knowledge of Federal, State, and Local real estate rules.
Flexibility:
Availability for overtime or travel on short notice to meet closing deadlines.
