Role Summary
The CD&A - Forecasting Senior Manager, Rare Disease is a strategic forecasting role that partners with Commercial leadership to deliver data-backed insights that drive commercial success for the Rare Disease portfolio. You will develop and manage forecasting discussions with brand leads, influence a broad set of stakeholders, and ensure forecasts align with business strategies. The position reports to the Director of Forecasting within Customer Data & Analytics and requires in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at either Deerfield, IL or Thousand Oaks, CA. Responsibilities
Forecast development and management: Build and maintain forecasting models using advanced techniques; incorporate internal and external data to refine forecasts; conduct regular forecast reviews and adjust based on market dynamics and strategic changes. Strategic analysis and insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with business strategies; provide insights on performance drivers, risks, and opportunities; evaluate the impact of market events on product performance. Stakeholder communication and collaboration: Present forecasts and insights to senior leadership; work with supply chain to align forecasts with inventory and operations; serve as subject matter expert on forecast assumptions and methodologies. Data and technology optimization: Use data visualization tools to communicate insights; apply forecasting software and statistical tools; explore new data sources and techniques to enhance forecasting processes. Oversight: Manage one contingent worker as part of the forecasting function. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of forecasting, analytics or finance experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of forecasting, analytics or finance experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of forecasting, analytics or finance experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of forecasting, analytics or finance experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of forecasting, analytics or finance experience Preferred Qualifications: Ability to quickly establish credibility with and influence ED/VP level staff Knowledge and experience with industry internal and secondary data sources; experience with analog and uptake curve analysis Proficiency in advanced forecasting techniques, statistical modeling and data analysis Strong collaboration and alignment-building skills across an organization High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI Excellent communication skills to present complex data to technical and non-technical stakeholders Partnership with business leaders to deliver high-quality predictions guiding strategic decision-making Ability to interpret and analyze data trends, identify patterns and make data-driven decisions Experience with Monte Carlo analysis and statistical trending Skills
