
Our Non-Profit client in Philadelphia, is looking for a HR Director to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior-level role within a
healthcare, education, or nonprofit setting.
This is a Hybrid role with salary up to 140k and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Organizational Culture: Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the mission of providing high-quality services. Champion a workplace culture rooted in collaboration, compassion, equity, and accountability. Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on organizational planning, culture-building, workforce strategy, and compliance. Talent Acquisition, Credentialing & Retention:
Lead inclusive recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain qualified professionals. Oversee credentialing and background clearance processes. Develop retention strategies. Employee Engagement & Development:
Design and implement initiatives that foster staff engagement, morale, and professional fulfillment across interdisciplinary teams. Promote leadership development, mentorship, and career growth. Performance Management & Supervision Support:
Oversee the performance management system Provide coaching and training to managers and supervisors to ensure consistency and excellence in employee development and evaluation. Ensure equitable and transparent performance reviews and improvement plans. Compensation, Benefits & Workforce Well-being:
Oversee compensation systems to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness Manage employee benefits, wellness programs, and leave policies that reflect an understanding of caregiver stress and flexible service models. Monitor trends in nonprofit, healthcare, and early education compensation and recommend appropriate adjustments. Compliance, Risk Management & HR Operations:
Ensure compliance with all HR-related regulatory requirements, including IDEA Part C and Part B, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA. Maintain up-to-date HR policies, employee handbooks, and practices that reflect legal requirements and organizational values. Lead internal investigations, mediate conflicts, and manage employee relations with a focus on fairness and restorative practices. Systems, Data & Reporting:
Oversee the effective use of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, applicant tracking, training portals) to improve operational efficiency. Use HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and report on key workforce indicators including turnover, engagement, and diversity. Qualifications: Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior-level role within a healthcare, education, or nonprofit setting would be ideal. Experience supporting multidisciplinary teams in early childhood, education, or clinical settings strongly preferred. SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification preferred.
