About the Role
MIRACORP, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer/Editor to support the U.S. Department of Energy by preparing, reviewing, editing, and finalizing a wide range of technical documents, reports, presentations, and communication materials. The role transforms complex technical and programmatic information into clear, concise, and accessible content while working closely with subject matter experts across DOE-ID and DOE-NE to ensure all products meet established style guides, program requirements, and quality standards. It also supports visual communication needs by producing charts, graphs, tables, brochures, posters, and other materials.

Essential Functions
Technical Writing & Editing
Draft, edit, and finalize technical reports, white papers, presentations, and communication products Translate complex information into clear, concise language for diverse audiences Format and revise documents prepared by others to meet DOE standards Ensure compliance with style guides (e.g., GPO, Chicago Manual of Style) and plain-language requirements Visual & Communication Support
Create visual communication products including charts, graphs, tables, and posters Develop talking points, summaries, and briefing materials for leadership Support time-sensitive document production and review workflows Collaboration & Coordination
Coordinate with subject matter experts across DOE-ID and DOE-NE Maintain organized document workflows and version control Support communication and information flow across program offices Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field and 3+ years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 5 years OR 7 years of direct experience Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills Ability to translate complex technical content into accessible language Experience with style guides and federal writing standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing tools Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Why Choose MIRACORP?
