We have a top tier client searching for a Director of Financial Reporting in
Atlanta, GA . This role leads financial reporting and real estate reporting functions, overseeing SEC filings, internal reporting, and analysis used by senior leadership. The Director will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional accounting teams to support reporting accuracy, forecasting, audits, and strategic initiatives. This role has high visibility and requires working in office 5 days per week. An ideal candidate could be someone newly promoted to Manager or someone coming from public accounting and looking to take on a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Lead preparation and coordination of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy, and supplemental investor reporting. Oversee monthly internal reporting, property variance analysis, budgets, and reforecasts. Review corporate close activities, incentive compensation accounting, and valuation inputs for leasing and acquisitions. Coordinate external audits, accounting research, new standard implementation, and system-driven reporting enhancements. Qualifications:
CPA required in addition to Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 4+ years of accounting experience with real estate exposure; REIT experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and advanced Excel skills; Yardi experience preferred. Proven leadership, communication, and ability to operate with urgency in a deadline-driven environment.
