Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants that live outside this location./ph3What Youll Do:/h3pstrongPosition Overview:/strong/ppThe primary function of Senior Distributor Sales Representative is to manage and demonstrate strong knowledge of the assigned channel partners within the territory to increase sales in the local marketplace and provide sales and technical assistance. This position will be responsible for directly interfacing with distributors within their territory by providing a variety of sales support and administrative services in inventory management./ppstrongIn this function you will:/strong/pulliManage a territory that is very dynamic in terms of distributor complexity, volume of locations and territory size/liliPartner with regional channel director, sales engineers and sales manager/director on a territory channel strategy and plan each year; and effectively execute this plan against set targets/liliContinuously support customer issue resolution/liliMake recommendations to management and channel director to increase effectiveness of initiatives and programs/liliTrack and measure distributor growth using sales reporting tools and reviews stock levels with each channel partner on an on-going basis/liliStrategically evaluate and optimize inventory at assigned distributors to ensure adequate levels of standard control and DE products to maximize sales; make recommendations on product changes, layout changes, and stock levels to optimize Eatons position/liliIndependently develop and implements action plans targeted at YOY growth and agreed performance levels/liliMake recommendations to management and channel director regarding potential challenges or issues on a case-by-case basis, offering solutions and pro-actively scheduling joint sales calls/liliTrain distributors on how to use internal programs such as Vista, Bidmanager and the Commitments program/li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3pstrongRequired (Basic) Qualifications:/strong/pulliBachelors degree from an accredited institution/liliMinimum three (3) years in a commercial assignment and minimum one (1) year in a distributor sales representative (DSR) function OR minimum three (3) years of experience in an outside sales role with distributor responsibility/liliPossess a valid drivers license/li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications:/strong/pulliStrong electrical industry and product knowledge/liliDistribution knowledge and/or experience/liliStrong product line knowledge/liliStrong key channel relationships and demonstrates knowledge of major accounts within the sales territory/liliUnderstands sales process and channel relationships with limited internal oversight/li/ulh3Position Criteria:/h3ulliPossess excellent communication skills/liliMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future/liliAbility to learn/teach electronic/computer processes/liliStrong interpersonal skills/liliAbility to resolve conflict effectively/liliAbility to make regular visits at distributor locations within the territory/liliAbility to establish and build customer relationships within the market area/liliEaton electrical product, service and market knowledge/liliPossesses presentation, training and planning skills/liliDemonstrates an understanding of markets/industry issues and key trends/liliAbility to travel up to 25%/li/ulpThe compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $101,250 - $148,500.
