divh2Editorial Assistant/h2pThe Editorial Assistant will provide clerical support to the director and to acquisitions staff. Responsibilities include communicating through written and verbal correspondence with individuals involved in the manuscript evaluation and publishing processes; locating outside readers, maintaining an organized system of tracking manuscripts and accompanying materials, conducting library research, responding to email and phone queries; preparing manuscripts for the editorial, design, and production department, updating authors on the status of manuscripts; processing payment documents for the acquisitions staff, maintaining acquisitions department database; and scheduling and attending meetings as instructed./ppSkills / Knowledge / Abilities: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Excel required. Filemaker Pro and working knowledge of Adobe InDesign preferred./ppDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?
