Medical Director - SATP
Montefiore Medical Center's Substance Abuse Treatment Program (SATP) is seeking a full-time Medical Director who is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine to lead our team of dedicated addiction treatment professionals including 1 MD and 2 PAs. SATP has nearly 50 years of experience providing integrated counseling, medical and psychiatric services to individuals with substance use disorders in the Bronx, NY.
The successful applicant will be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and has completed an Addiction Medicine Fellowship. The successful candidate will have led addiction treatment within an Opioid Treatment Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program. Opportunities for teaching and supervising medical students, medical Residents and post-doctoral Fellows. Ability to obtain a New York State Medical License is required.
This position offers a competitive salary of $275,000-290,000 plus productivity incentives as well as paid malpractice, CME with stipend, health, dental, vision, 403(b) and 457 tax shelters, LTD, STD and much more. The program is also an approved site for the NHSC Substance Use Disorder Workforce Loan Repayment Program, providing up to $75,000 in student loan repayment in exchange for a 3-year service commitment.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of addiction treatment professionals including 1 MD and 2 PAs. Provide integrated counseling, medical and psychiatric services within SATP. Oversee opioid treatment programs and intensive outpatient programs and contribute to program development and patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with completion of an Addiction Medicine Fellowship. Documented experience leading addiction treatment within an Opioid Treatment Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program. Ability to obtain a New York State Medical License.
