
Overview
The selected Director of Construction will be a key addition to the NorCal team overseeing project sites from Sonoma County to San Luis Obispo with active townhome construction activities. Responsibilities
- Collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract specs.
- Monitoring work progress and compliance from all selected subcontractors.
- Proactively identifying and escalating issues that could impact the established project budget and timeline.
- Holding meetings with Engineers, Architects, and other key personnel to provide progress reports.
- Delegating tasks effectively and holding others accountable to achieve project milestones.
- Helping to mentor and develop confidence in field and office personnel.
- Proactively identify training gaps with personnel, ensuring that they gain access to proper resources and supplemental training to maximize career growth potential.
- Assisting in the development of a strategic growth plan for the division.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in construction (2+ years as a Project Director or PX)
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline from an accredited institution
- Prior experience representing the Developer/Builder on homebuilding projects of similar size and scope
- Prior experience with P&L responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective people management skills including the ability to delegate
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines to ensure that project milestones are achieved
- Willingness to travel to NorCal project sites as required
Compensation Package
- Base Salary $180-210k (based on experience and certifications)
