
Role Overview
As an Account Manager - Publications and Medical, you will serve as the operational and client communication lead across a range of scientific publications projects. This role is ideal for someone with 3-4 years of experience in publication account coordination or early account management who is ready to step into a more senior, client-facing role. You’ll collaborate with internal content teams and clients to ensure seamless planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality scientific publications. Key Responsibilities
Team Capacity & Operations Manage, review and update project milestones and timelines weekly (via Monday.com); validate capacity plans during manager status calls Coordinate weekly task lists for all Content Team members with the Director and Managers Identify capacity constraints and flag resource needs proactively Direct capacity and resource alignment at project initiation Attend regular capacity planning meetings with Operations and flag longer-term hiring needs Project Management Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, including scheduling meetings and managing review/approval communications Develop and maintain detailed publication trackers; lead internal and client-facing status calls Draft project timelines in collaboration with the Scientific Director; track milestones and escalate risks with recommended solutions Manage project SharePoint folders, including setting up templates and organizing resources and correspondence per SOP Oversee feedback tracking, ICMJE compliance, and submission processes Liaise with freelance writers and editors, ensuring smooth project transitions and timelines Internal Culture & Knowledge Sharing Drive timelines for internal team initiatives In partnership with the Leadership Team, support the coordination of regular knowledge-sharing sessions and team meetings Schedule and support Publication Team check-ins and internal discussions Requirements
Key Skills, Abilities: Minimum 5 years of experience in publication account coordination or 1 year in publication account management Experience working with life sciences clients, scientific communications, or medical publications Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) and collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint) Experience working with or supporting cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment Why Join Us
