Overview
Position Summary The Continuous Improvement Manager is a key member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT) responsible for driving Operational Excellence across the site. This role leads Lean Six Sigma deployment, continuous improvement initiatives, and digital transformation efforts to improve quality, delivery, cost, and compliance in a medical device manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Site General Manager, this leader champions a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and data-driven decision-making while ensuring alignment with global Operational Excellence strategies. Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence Leadership: Lead deployment of the site’s Operational Excellence roadmap aligned with business and regulatory priorities. Drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and productivity. Align site initiatives with corporate and regional Operational Excellence strategies. Lean & Continuous Improvement Deployment: Champion Lean Six Sigma methodologies across manufacturing, supply chain, and support functions. Identify, prioritize, and execute CI projects based on business impact. Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and structured problem-solving initiatives. Medical Device Compliance & Quality Alignment: Ensure CI initiatives support regulatory compliance and quality system requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, GMP). Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to implement sustainable process improvements. Digital & Industry 4.0 Integration: Promote adoption of digital tools and Industry 4.0 solutions to enhance operational performance and visibility. Align digital initiatives with operational and quality objectives. Program & Stakeholder Leadership: Facilitate Lean Steering Committee and site-level improvement governance. Lead engagement in site-wide excellence programs. Provide regular reporting on CI impact and financial results. Team Leadership & Culture: Develop CI capability across the organization through coaching and training. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Support succession planning and talent development. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related technical field preferred 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations Experience in a regulated industry (medical device, pharma, or aerospace strongly preferred)
Certifications
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ, BQF, Motorola, GE, or equivalent) required PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred

Proven track record leading large-scale CI or Lean transformations Strong financial acumen and project prioritization skills Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership Excellent analytical and change management capabilities
