Overview The Continuous Improvement Manager advances the site’s Operational Excellence strategy within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role leads Lean Six Sigma initiatives, drives performance metrics, and supports cultural and cost transformation. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, this position requires experience leading other managers and influencing cross-functional engineering and technical teams on the production floor.

Responsibilities

Lead deployment of the site’s Operational Excellence roadmap in alignment with business strategy and organizational goals.

Ensure all Continuous Improvement activities support strategic, financial, and operational objectives.

Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing supervisors and other people managers responsible for executing CI initiatives.

Drive Lean Six Sigma methodology and continuous improvement practices across manufacturing, operations, and service functions.

Indirectly lead and influence engineers, technicians, and production teams to implement sustainable process improvements.

Lead business analysis of proposed CI projects and prioritize initiatives based on organizational impact.

Implement and track CI metrics related to education, cultural enablers, and transformation cost improvements.

Facilitate the site’s Operational Excellence / Lean Steering Team to achieve targeted financial results.

Develop, update, and own site-level Operational Excellence processes, metrics, and supporting tools, ensuring alignment with regional and global standards.

Provide feedback and recommendations to regional and global Continuous Improvement leadership.

Demonstrate and reinforce core company values while developing leadership capability through coaching, development, and succession planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred with 10+ years of related experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (ASQ, BQF, or equivalent from Motorola or GE) is highly preferred.

Project Management certification (PMI or recognized equivalent) is highly preferred.

Recent experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is necessary.

Proven experience managing other people managers (e.g., manufacturing supervisors or team leads) and indirectly leading engineers and technicians in a production environment.
