Customer Service Representative Position Summary: The Customer Service Representative provides excellent service to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. This role communicates with customers via phone, email, chat, or in-person and supports various business functions by maintaining accurate records and delivering prompt, courteous assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, chat, or other communication channels.

Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer’s concern, determining the root cause, and identifying the best solution.

Document customer interactions in the company CRM or tracking systems.

Process orders, returns, payments, and account updates accurately and efficiently.

Provide product knowledge to help customers understand features, benefits, and troubleshooting steps.

Escalate complex issues to supervisors or specialized departments when necessary.

Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved.

Maintain service‑level standards including response times, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.

Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, billing, and technical support to improve customer experience.

Identify trends in customer issues and recommend improvements for processes or policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.

Ability to handle challenging or emotional customers with patience and empathy.

Proficiency with CRM systems, ticketing tools, and basic computer applications.

Multitasking skills and ability to manage high call or ticket volumes.

Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
