What you’ll do on a typical day:
Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, estimates, provisions and planning
Assist with process improvements about the tax return process, such as work papers and procedures required for tax returns
Maintain and monitor tax books for fixed assets, including book/tax difference and deferred tax calculations and analysis
Assist with targeted international tax processes and tasks, including compliance-related matters
Maintain accuracy and completeness for all tax general ledger accounts
Collaborate with the tax team to create reports and work on special projects for upper management in areas, such as effective tax rate, cash taxes, etc.
Research various domestic tax issues as needed
What you’ll need to succeed as a Tax Analyst at XPO
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
1 year of related federal tax and/or state tax experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications
Advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation
CPA
Experience with Alteryx software
Experience with Oracle and HFM
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
International tax experience is a plus
