Overview
Midwest Retail Services is seeking an Order & Fulfillment Specialist to serve as the central coordination point for customer orders across Sales, Operations/Warehouse, and Purchasing. This role is ideal for someone who is an exceptional communicator, highly organized, and relentlessly detail-oriented. You will not communicate directly with customers, but you will play a critical role in ensuring orders are accurate, scheduled correctly, and executed efficiently. Responsibilities
Audit customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness before release Coordinate and maintain shipment dates in collaboration with Sales, Operations/Warehouse, and Purchasing Manage order changes and update schedules as needed Trigger automated customer notifications through our ERP system (Business Central) and communicate changes to Sales for customer follow-up Schedule and prioritize orders for warehouse picking and shipment Create and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs) and related outbound shipping documentation Maintain accurate order documentation and ERP workflows Monitor order picking speed, accuracy, and backlog Track and report key performance metrics related to fulfillment accuracy and efficiency What We’re Looking For
Exceptionally strong communicator who can confidently coordinate across teams Extremely detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy Comfortable enforcing processes and holding teams accountable Strong organizational and time-management skills Experience working in an ERP-driven environment (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred) Familiarity with outbound shipping documentation, including BOL creation Why This Role Matters
