
Director of Finance
The Director of Finance will serve as a strategic financial leader responsible for driving the company's investment strategy, portfolio performance, and tax planning initiatives. This role oversees financial modeling, investment analysis, tax planning and compliance, capital markets strategy, portfolio analytics, and financial reporting. The Director of Finance will lead a team of analysts and work closely with internal stakeholders, operating partners, and external advisors to ensure strong governance, optimized financial outcomes, and investor confidence. Responsibilities: Evaluate acquisitions and development opportunities. Manage fund- and asset-level tax strategy. Lead capital transactions. Partner with property accounting teams. Prepare investor communications. Strengthen financial controls. Track performance and monitor asset-level financials. Communicate insights to leadership and ownership. Essential Skills: Expertise in finance, financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Proficiency in real estate finance, portfolio management, and private equity. Ability to structure complex financial models for various scenarios. Real estate tax expertise, including K-1s, cost segregations, entity structuring, and regulatory filings. Skilled in investment analysis, including evaluating opportunities, preparing projections, and assessing risks. Experience with capital strategy, including deal transactions, capital calls, and restructurings. Capability to mentor analysts and create a high-accountability team environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 57+ years of experience in real estate finance, private equity, or investment banking. Significant experience in real estate or private equity tax strategy. Success in financial analysis, modeling, reporting, and valuation. Strong understanding of partnership structures and real estate tax regulations. Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data. Highly organized and adaptable to rapid change. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
