Construction Superintendent | Commercial Construction Miami, FL
Ortega Construction is a multifamily general contractor with a growing pipeline of work across the Tri-County area and is seeking a Superintendent who can lead projects comprehensively in the field.
Role Description : This is a full-time on-site Superintendent role located in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. The Superintendent will oversee and manage the day-to-day construction operations, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and site operations and logistics, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations, and communicating progress with ownership and trade partners.
Project Focus: Multifamily, Mixed-Use, and Hospitality Ground-up construction and renovations Full project lifecycle responsibility Southeast regional portfolio
Qualifications: Knowledge of Safety Standards, Compliance Requirements Extensive experience in commercial construction, preferably multifamily Proven ability to lead projects from startup through: Building envelope Interior buildout Core systems (MEP, life safety) Final inspections, turnover, and closeout Strong understanding of scheduling, trade coordination, safety, and quality control Experience leading field teams and subcontractors Ability to work collaboratively with project management teams Long-term xsgimln mindset and commitment to project excellence Proficiency in construction-related software Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans Fluent in English required Fluent in Spanish preferred but not required
