Position Overview The Assistant Property Manager supports the day-to-day operations of a multifamily community, partnering closely with the Property Manager to ensure strong resident relations, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented property management professional with hands-on experience in multifamily operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Support daily operations of a multifamily property, including resident relations, leasing support, and administrative functions Assist with rent collections, delinquency follow-up, and payment posting Prepare and maintain accurate resident files, reports, and correspondence Support leasing activity including applications, renewals, move-ins, and move-outs Coordinate with maintenance teams on work orders, unit turns, and resident issues Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution professionally and promptly Assist with vendor coordination, invoices, and expense tracking Ensure compliance with company policies, fair housing regulations, and local requirements Step in as acting manager when needed in the Property Manager’s absence Qualifications
2+ years of multifamily property management experience (Assistant Property Manager or similar) Experience supporting properties with 200+ units preferred Strong understanding of leasing, collections, and resident relations Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, MRI, or similar preferred) Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
