A well-established and growing real estate ownership & property management company (name confidential) is seeking an experienced
Property Manager
to oversee a Class B–C multifamily portfolio in the Chicago market.
This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on, operationally strong Property Manager who enjoys being close to the assets, driving performance, and improving communities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of assigned Class B–C multifamily communities
Manage on‑site staff including leasing, maintenance, and vendors
Drive leasing, renewals, and occupancy while controlling turnover
Prepare and manage property budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting
Monitor rent collections, delinquency, and expense control
Handle resident relations, escalations, and conflict resolution
Coordinate maintenance, unit turns, capital improvements, and inspections
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, local regulations, and company policies
Requirements
3+ years of Property Management experience within
Class B–C multifamily
Strong understanding of operations, leasing, and resident retention
Experience managing on‑site teams and third-party vendors
Solid financial acumen (budgets, reporting, rent collections)
Familiar with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage, or similar)
Professional, organized, and customer‑focused
Monthly commission / performance bonus
