Key Responsibilities:
· Communicate and negotiate with governmental agencies to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for construction and maintenance activities.
· Represent client at public and governmental meetings (e.g., zoning boards, townships, city councils).
· Interpret and apply municipal and jurisdictional policies to ensure regulatory compliance on all real estate and permitting matters.
· Prepare and submit permit applications, insurance certificate requests, bond postings, and associated documentation.
· Draft, review, and manage correspondence and documentation related to real estate and permitting transactions.
· Maintain thorough records of permits, approvals, and agency correspondence.
· Collaborate with internal departments (legal, engineering, real estate) to align on project requirements and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the Right of Way/Real Estate industry.
At least 1 year of direct experience as a Permit or Zoning Agent.
Proven knowledge of zoning, land division regulations, and utility permitting.
Ability to interpret legal descriptions, real estate documentation, and construction-related drawings.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in understanding jurisdictional regulatory processes affecting real estate transactions.
