The NC State University Poole College of Management seeks an
Associate Director of Student Programs and Career Services
for its Master of Accounting (MAC) Program. Established in 1994, the MAC Program prepares students for successful professional careers in accounting and business within an increasingly competitive global marketplace.
Responsibilities
Lead employment-related activities for MAC students and graduates, driving employer engagement and student career development.
Serve as the primary liaison for employers seeking to recruit MAC students and graduates.
Build relationships with Poole College alumni to generate internship and full-time employment opportunities.
Plan and execute recruiting events, including the Tour of Cities, Meet the Firms, and Corporate and Governmental Accounting Day.
Provide a point of contact for students and employers regarding resume management software.
Advise MAC students and senior internship candidates on the recruitment process and job search strategies.
Coordinate with the MAC Assistant Director of Admissions and University Career Services to ensure smooth execution of on-campus interviews.
Identify and recruit candidates for the MAC Fellowship Program and undergraduate internship programs.
Administer career coaching, including personal assessments, resume reviews, and mock interviews.
Maintain job placement and outcomes data for AACSB accreditation and assessment reporting.
Oversee MAC organization instruction, including MAC student organization meetings, graduation celebrations, and service activities.
Support program events such as orientation, graduation, and lifelong learning events.
Participate in weekly MAC staff meetings and organize semi-annual MAC Advisory Board meetings.
Qualifications
Post-baccalaureate credential or four-year degree in business or a related field.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in career services, corporate recruiting, human resources, marketing, or a related field.
Experience in MAC career services at another university or recruiting MACs for public accounting is preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills, coaching and mentoring abilities, and effective presentation skills.
Proficiency with basic software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
Valid NC Driver's License required.
Ability to travel and work evening hours when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with career services and campus recruiting.
