Position Overview:
This role is responsible for overseeing all HR technology platforms across Memorial Hermann, including Workday and other HR systems. The Director will lead day-to-day operations, optimize HR processes, drive technology strategy, and play a critical role in the Oracle ERP migration. They must balance tactical system support with high-level strategic planning, serving as the connector across HR, IT, and Payroll. This position requires a strong mix of technical understanding, HR process knowledge, leadership capability, and the ability to anticipate cross-functional system impacts.
Job Responsibilities: • Manage and support all HR technology systems across the organization • Lead the HR technology workstream for the Oracle ERP migration • Maintain and optimize Workday and other HR tech platforms • Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Operations to align technology with business needs • Support annual HR cycles including benefits enrollment, merit/evaluations, tax reporting • Identify inefficiencies and drive process automation and optimization • Troubleshoot system issues and oversee ticket resolution • Manage vendor relationships and contracts • Provide guidance on HR Technology strategy and roadmap • Ensure continuity of HR operations while supporting new ERP development • Communicate system impacts and changes across HR and IT stakeholders • Oversee HR Tech projects and enhancements
Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree required • 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in HR technology • Strong experience administering Cloud HCM platforms • Workday and Oracle experience highly preferred • Broad knowledge of HR systems including LMS, ATS, Time & Attendance, and workflow tools • Strong communication and leadership skills • Ability to work tactically while contributing to high-level ERP strategy • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence skills • Ability to interpret HR processes and translate them into technical solutions • Must be able to support both legacy Workday operations and Oracle readiness simultaneously
