Enterprise Product Owner - Master Data Management

We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to serve as an Enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) Product Owner. This is a technology platform role-owning Oracle MDM capabilities and the distribution of mastered data via Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) on OCI to core enterprise applications (Oracle ERP, HCM, FSM, CPQ, EDM) and integrated platforms (including but not limited to Microsoft CRM, GEP). This role combines MDM platform ownership responsibilities with solution architecture oversight to ensure stability, scalability, and alignment between business objectives and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Business Process Owners, Master Data Management Governance Team, Integration engineering and IT architecture while driving innovation and continuous improvement for value streams across enterprise products. The Product Owner serves as the critical escalation point for platform-wide issues including MDM data quality exceptions and integration failures impacting downstream systems, providing direction and leadership to ensure stable, scalable, and compliant solutions that deliver business value. Accountable for product roadmap, backlog, release discipline, and measurable improvements in master data quality, adoption, and integration reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership for Value Streams:
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, support teams, and IT to optimize and enhance platform-enabled processes, ensuring consuming systems adopt the 'golden record' rather than local variants. Serve as the primary IT product owner for MDM platforms, partnering with Process and Product Owners to translate business needs into a well-prioritized IT backlog of epics, features, and user stories. Own the technical roadmap of in-scope MDM systems ensuring stability and reliability of system while ensuring maximum value of the system performance. Prioritize and manage incidents, enhancements, and service requests, ensuring alignment with organizational goals including data quality defects, duplicate creation, hierarchy breaks, and reconciliation issues across integrated platforms including but limited to ERP/CRM/GEP. Execute and support required system integration testing across MDM platforms, ensuring changes across value streams and processes are validated effectively. Own the change and release process, including readiness reviews, user acceptance testing, deployment coordination, and communication planning including operational readiness (monitoring, runbooks, support handover) for MDM services and OIC integrations. Provide hands-on support for high-priority issues and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents, coordinate triage across MDM, OIC, and consuming application teams; drive root-cause elimination via problem management Guide internal teams and super users to improve process maturity and drive self-service adoption including data stewards to improve stewardship workflows, exception handling, and policy adherence. Own and maintain the product roadmap and backlog (epics/features/stories), defining acceptance criteria and 'definition of done' including non-functionals (availability, latency, error handling, auditability). Solution Architecture & Design:
Own and lead high-level technical design and system integration across all MDM technology platforms and edge systems, partnering with Enterprise Architecture and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and the future-state vision. Evaluate, test and verify impacts of proposed changes, integrations, or enhancements to ensure long-term scalability and sustainability. Partner with internal Product and Process Owners and vendors to design solutions that optimize business performance while appropriately managing technical risk, security, and supportability. Lead technical design efforts, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and future-state vision Evaluate impacts of proposed changes, integrations, or enhancements to ensure long-term scalability and sustainability Partner with internal teams and vendors to design solutions that optimize business performance while managing technical risk. Define and maintain data models, integration strategies, and reporting solutions that ensure quality, security, and performance. Collaboration & Governance:
Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for Technical Leads and System Engineers responsible for MDM Technology platforms to drive platform stability, scalability, and team growth Serve as Product Owner on the Architecture Review Board and Enterprise PMO Operational Boards, driving intake governance, strategic alignment, and timely approvals Serve as IT SOX control owner for applicable controls across the MDM Technology stack, ensuring controls are designed, operating effectively, and audit-ready Collaborate with software and service providers, internal stakeholders, and technical teams on upgrades, new implementations, and architectural changes. Ensure solutions align with compliance, cybersecurity, and operational resilience, data privacy, access controls, audit requirements, and operational resilience standards. Participate in or lead governance forums, roadmap planning, and platform health assessments. Document and communicate key decisions, design patterns, and operational dependencies. Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in in master data, integration platforms, enterprise applications, or data platform ownership.. Experience working across Oracle SaaS ecosystems (ERP/HCM/FSM/CPQ/EDM) and integrating with Microsoft CRM and procurement platforms (e.g., GEP) Proven ability to balance strategic architecture decisions with operational platform management. Strong understanding of business process design and system optimization. Strong understanding of master data concepts (golden record, match/merge, survivorship, hierarchies, stewardship) Hands-on experience designing and supporting integrations, reporting, and user access models. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, prioritization, and cross-functional communication. Skilled in developing strong relationships with software and service providers. Familiarity with change management, incident response, and ITSM tools. Tools & Technologies:
