Role: Associate Photographers are the talented and versatile team responsible for the media collection for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Equipped with a top-of-the-line Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera equipment and iPad, our Associate Photographers create virtual tours, floorplans and photography for residential homes. Each Associate Photographer is given a core territory in which they are responsible for servicing clients of Homes.com and Apartments.com. They will have appointments set for defined dates and times, where they will scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras, capturing virtual tours and floor plans. They will also be responsible for residential photography used in marketing materials.
This role works closely with clients, sales associates, logistics and the management team. Photographers are managed remotely by a Photography Manager located in local markets.
Responsibilities
Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture spaces effectively.
Work with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
Own the market: when not shooting residential homes, navigate one-mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage; identify new inventory and missing availability for photographing.
Abide by CoStar safety standards for vehicle and equipment safety.
Represent CoStar professionally at all times.
Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of professional experience; real estate photography experience required.
Experience as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.
Drone photography experience with FAA Part 107 license/certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
Strong time management and detail orientation; ability to accurately capture and enter data.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; field experience preferred.
Current and valid driver’s license; satisfactory Driving Record check prior to start; responsible driving history.
Driving history must reflect compliance with traffic laws.
Compensation and Benefits The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible with monthly bonuses based on performance against metrics. The pay is described as an annual equivalent of $50,000 with potential monthly bonuses. This position notes an hourly wage equivalent around $49k–$50k and includes a generous benefits plan.
