Overview
Karsten is a high-end private club in Stillwater, OK. Formerly Karsten Creek Golf Club, the club has completely re-branded; we have a new name, a new logo, and a new golf course. Karsten conducted a renovation to create the ultimate training ground for those who aspire to be the best players in the world. The golf course was redesigned by Andrew Green, and we put in Geothermal Hydronics, new irrigation, new cart paths, a redesigned practice facility, and we spared no expense. The golf course is truly one of one. The various tee boxes on each hole allow for endless possibilities. There will be no tee markers and no par. We encourage players to tee it up wherever they see fit. There is nothing like Karsten. Our goal is to have the firmest, fastest greens in the world, and be the best conditioned golf course in the world.
Our leadership team is young, and we understand what it means to have a work life balance. I cannot promise 5-day work weeks every week, but when it is slow, each of us will have plenty of time off to enjoy our lives outside of work. I want Golf Professionals who love to play golf and work on their games to join the team at Karsten. You will have the opportunity to play and practice as much as you want, when appropriate. My goal is to create a staff culture where we care about each other, respect each other, and work together to create the best experience in golf. Assistant Golf Professionals at Karsten will learn how to write a budget, how to create a buying plan for the merchandise program, run tournaments, and how to manage people so that they are ready to be the leader of an operation by the time they leave Karsten. This opportunity is unlike any other. You will get to have a ton of influence on how Karsten will operate daily. This is a chance to get in on the ground floor and put your mark on the operation.
Karsten is the home course for the Oklahoma State men's and women's golf teams. We have created a golf course for them that will be the equivalent of Navy Seals Training, which will prepare the players to excel in diverse global locations, adverse weather conditions, on other challenging courses, and against top-tier competition.
The goal of Karsten is to provide an exceptional golf experience for our members and their guests. We also want to breed the next generation of PGA/LPGA Tour players in partnership with Oklahoma State University.
Experience Required
PGA Member Preferred, but not required; at minimum, applicants must be enrolled in the PGA Associate Program
Experience at a private club preferred.

Essential Responsibilities
Maintain and operate Golf Shop, The Swinging Pete Shop and Outside Services responsibilities as directed by the Head Golf Professional
Supervise, schedule and train Golf Shop personnel, outside services and caddie program as directed by the Head Golf Professional
Assist in the management of the total golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional
Assist the Head Golf Professional in the purchasing, receipt, display, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise for the Golf Shop and The Swinging Pete Shop, our online store powered by Shopify.
Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations
Reservation coordination of all golf bookings and services to include scheduling and staffing daily
Provide the best possible customer service and professional advice to the members of Karsten and their guests
Control and manage daily play at Karsten
Be informed of all arrivals to the facility, club activities, and services Karsten provides
Assist in managing tournaments
Play golf with the membership and their guests
