
We are seeking an experienced
PCB eCAD Engineer
to support PCB design activities for GM in Warren, MI. The ideal candidate will take complete ownership of PCB eCAD design tasks, work closely with customers and cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality final deliverables. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Siemens Xpedition tools and end-to-end PCB design. Key Responsibilities
Own complete PCB eCAD design activities from schematic to final Gerber release. Perform PCB placement, constraint definition, layer stack-up creation, and power plane design. Route electrical nets including high-speed signals with proper length matching and impedance control. Apply design rules related to creepage, clearance, and manufacturing standards. Prepare documentation and release Gerber files for fabrication and assembly. Interact with customers and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and resolve design issues. Guide and support junior team members as needed. Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience in
PCB eCAD design using Siemens Xpedition Layout and DxDesigner VX
(mandatory). Hands-on experience with
EDM-based PCB eCAD and library workflows . Experience using Constraints Editor System, Fablink (panelization), Variant Manager, and Drawing Editor. Solid understanding of PCB design flow from schematics to Gerber output. Experience with
digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs . Expertise in
high-speed PCB routing , including power planes, length matching, creepage, and clearance. Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as
SATA, DDR4/DDR5, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, PMIC , etc. Exposure to
RF board design
is a plus. Strong understanding of industry standards and PCB manufacturing processes. Education & Qualifications
8–10 years
of relevant PCB eCAD design experience Good communication skills in English Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
