The Neuroscience Sales Specialist has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner. The specialist understands customer needs, aligns marketing resources, and supports pull-through activities. They embody and communicate Intra-Cellular’s corporate vision of improving the lives of patients suffering from neuropsychiatric disorders.
The Neuroscience Sales Specialist develops superior product and disease state knowledge to engage in in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals. They create local strategic and tactical plans, allocate resources appropriately, and manage budgets and expenses within their territory. We are looking for sales professionals who have a passion for patients, tenacity for results, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit in a fast-paced culture.
Responsibilities
Following compliance guidelines, drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory by calling on healthcare professionals, offices, and Mental Health Community Centers both in-person and virtually.
Manage assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives; customize discussions and interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
Maintain current understanding of local market dynamics, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; share information with internal stakeholders.
Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region and identify appropriate programs/resources for each customer, practice, or system.
Collaborate with Regional Business Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan that achieves business objectives; capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through strategic execution.
Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists to share best practices and align on common objectives.
Ensure timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communications, synchronization, samples, and expense reporting.
Build a business plan based on customer needs, resources, and products; complete all required training within timelines.

Qualifications (Job Requirements)
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, or business-to-business sales, or recently transitioned from Active-Duty Military.
3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Strong desire and passion for improving patients’ and caregivers’ lives; patient-centric mindset.
High integrity and adherence to Company compliance policies and procedures.
Proactive, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, with strong decision-making and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to adapt to evolving environments and telemedicine/virtual work settings.
Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress and identify opportunities.
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
Work hours may include meetings outside of normal hours; some overnight travel may be required.
Occasional domestic travel to corporate headquarters, training, and sales meetings.
Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Benefits and Other Information Salary range for this position: $79,000 - $155,000
