Overview Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State.

Responsibilities

Responsible for growing the Janicki business through the maintenance and establishment of existing customers and accounts in any industry or market.

Researching industries, companies, and individuals to identify target markets.

Qualifying leads based on specific criteria (budget, authority, need, timeline, etc.).

Create and maintain JI proposals in all systems (SAP, Revenue Reporting, etc.).

Assist other Sales Employees, as needed.

Propose “Special Projects” for growing the Janicki core capabilities for new and emergent business opportunities.

Work with Senior Management to define problem statements and propose funding/target goals.

Facilitate the execution of “Special Projects”, when active, by working with Program Directors for Program Team assignments.

Oversee and provide technical/engineering support for “Special Projects”, as needed.

Provide summary to Senior Management upon completion of “Special Project”.

Develop sales calculators and tools to support new business opportunities resulting from “Special Projects”.

Proactively addressing customer needs and concerns.

Providing clear and concise communication.

Building strong relationships with colleagues and partners.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strategic thinking and business acumen.

Self-motivation.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or have Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with obtaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate to agree to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Education/Experience

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design technology, or a related field is preferred. Education may be substituted with equivalent industry experience in aerospace, marine, or transportation industrial manufacturing.

Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.

Recommend a minimum of four to five years’ experience managing multi-million-dollar programs in a manufacturing environment.

Must have working/technical knowledge of composite materials and properties.

Experience negotiating and managing customer expectations.

Able to train, mentor, and manage project teams.

Able to utilize and implement opportunities to improve.

Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Additional Information

Salary range for this role is between $130,000 - $185,000 plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
