Overview
Polaris is hiring for a carrier sales position focused on negotiation and truck booking. This role involves building carrier relationships and managing loads for Polaris' customers.
Responsibilities
Negotiate and book loads with Polaris’ existing carrier base or with new carriers.
Develop new carrier relationships to provide capacity for Polaris' customers' loads.
Make outbound calls and answer inbound calls; communicate effectively by phone and email.
Demonstrate thoroughness, time management, and a customer/client focus in daily duties.
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
This position is in person and operates in a professional office environment; routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED; computer knowledge working with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
Preferred Education and Experience
Related degree in logistics preferred but not required.
Two (2) years of prior logistics experience is helpful.
Salary ranges from $45,000-$65,000/year depending on industry experience.
PTO, 401k, health insurance, and more are available after a 90 day probation period.
