The Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office (ACTTC) is recruiting to fill an Accountant/Auditor position at either the I or II level. Performing complex property tax processes and ensuring compliance with regulations Preparing and submitting required state reports accurately and timely Managing school bond issuances, overseeing debt repayment schedules, and calculating tax rates Developing revenue estimates to support financial planning and forecasting Assisting with data collection and entry to support Board items and related documentation Interpreting and applying various accounting and financial laws and regulations Preparing a variety of accounting, budget, and financial reports Coordinating the direction, revision, and/or development of accounting systems and procedures Representing the office at board meetings and other meetings as needed, which may include delivering presentations Training clerical and technical personnel, including the assignment and evaluation of their work Qualifications (ideal candidate)

Intellectual curiosity, research interest Ability to analyze, implement, and apply accounting standards, revenue and taxation codes, government code, and other regulations Experience in governmental accounting and auditing, including preparing complex financial reports Clear and effective communication, verbally and in writing, with taxpayers, taxing agencies, external departments, and the public Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment during critical revenue allocation periods Passion for accounting and continual learning and improvement Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Word and Excel Certified Public Accountant certificate is highly desirable, but not required About the Office

The ACTTC Office provides accounting, financial reporting, auditing, collection, financing, and investing services. Its mission is to provide reliable and relevant financial services to County departments, agencies, districts, and the public. The office has nine divisions and is supported by a management team including the Auditor-Controller-Treasurer-Tax Collector and three Assistants. ACTTC comprises 108 full-time employees with an annual budget of about $167 million. What We Offer
