
Senior Community Habilitation Manager

Starting Rate of Pay: $23.00 - 25.30 per hour, negotiable based on experience
Summary of Duties
The Senior Community Habilitation Manager provides leadership, training, and support to Community Habilitation staff while maintaining a small caseload of individuals receiving services. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered supports in accordance with each individual’s Life Plan, Staff Action Plans, agency standards, and OPWDD regulations. The Senior Com Habilitation Manager assists with audits, staff development, documentation compliance, intake coordination, and coverage as needed. Skills & Abilities
Good organizational skills High level of interpersonal skills Ability to work independently within the community Possess good time management skills Ability and desire to work as part of an interdisciplinary team High level of written and oral communication skills Knowledge of behavioral techniques and developmental disabilities to assist in the care of individuals Knowledge of current literature and trends related to the profession Knowledge of computer and ability to utilize word processing programs Familiarity with applicable standardized/non-standardized tests and assessment tools First Aid and training will be provided upon hire Familiar with rules and regulations appropriate to quality assurance and corporate compliance activities, (examples: New York Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Office of the Medicaid Inspector General.) Education & Training
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or other closely related developmental disabilities or human services field, PLUS one year full-time paid direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults. Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education or other closely related developmental disabilities field, PLUS two years full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled adults. Valid New York State driver’s license in good standing, New York automobile insurance, and a reliable motor vehicle required. Benefits
