Overview The selected Heavy Civil Estimator II will play a key role in winning work in the highly competitive space of environmental remediation projects for clients like USACE. Prior estimating experience on heavy civil projects with extensive earthwork/dirt work scope is required for serious consideration. Responsibilities

Collaborate on preparation of bid packages and complete assigned tasks.

Participate in strategy meetings related to maintaining/growing the backlog.

Review progress on projects and adjust schedules as needed.

Maintain and update database of relevant resources and historical data.

Keep records of all project details and documentation such as contracts, bids, and correspondence.

Determine initial production rates.

Estimate materials costs and labor hours needed to complete projects.

Solicit material and subcontractor pricing.

Work independently and as a member of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience on projects of similar size and scope.

Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Math or related discipline from an accredited institution

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs to determine work requirements

Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of work bid and won

Prior experience working with HCSS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines

Compensation Package

Salary 120-140k (based on experience)

Discretionary Performance Bonuses

Job Details Job Type: Full-time Onsite with some required travel.
