Our alliance is dedicated to fostering the professional development of U.S. military service members, veterans, and their spouses. We accomplish this by offering various membership options, including General Membership for service members, veterans, and their spouses, along with Professional, Corporate, and Nonprofit Partner Memberships for individuals and organizations that wish to engage more deeply with our mission. Our goal is to be the premier resource for this community as they pursue or advance their careers in project management within the civilian workforce.

Our Programs and Services A Holistic Approach

VPMMA offers a wide range of mentorship and development programs, specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of our members. These include:

Mentorship Programs We provide One-on-One, Group, Reverse, Diversity, and Peer Mentorship to offer tailored guidance and promote collective learning.

Professional Development Our offerings include customized training materials, skill-building workshops, learning events (seminars, webinars), advanced training, and certification preparation. We also address personal project management skills and entrepreneurship training.

Career Transition Support We offer resources and guidance to members navigating career transitions, including support for resumes, access to job boards, and career transition assistance.

Community Building We create professional connections through networking opportunities and collaborative learning events.

Financial Support We provide scholarships for industry certifications to encourage ongoing professional development.

Corporate Relationship Manager

to serve as a high-impact architect of our growth. In this role, you will bridge the gap between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the military community, securing the "High-Impact" resources necessary to scale our life-changing mentorship programs. As a pro bono professional, you will act as a primary advocate for our

Alliance Heroes , ensuring that major partners understand the transformative value of investing in veteran leadership.

Your Strategic Impact

You will dedicate

3–5 hours per week

to high-leverage activities that fuel our mission.

Strategic Prospecting Identify and vet high-potential corporate leads and foundations whose missions align with veteran workforce development.

Partnership Development Craft compelling "Case for Support" proposals that illustrate the tangible impact of major contributions on our training initiatives.

High-Touch Stewardship Nurture relationships with major donors by providing personalized impact reports and facilitating connections with our Board of Directors.

Growth Alignment Collaborate directly with the President and Director of Development to ensure outreach strategies support our long-term vision of becoming the most sought-after partner for veteran career journeys.

Qualifications For Success

Executive Presence

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present our mission to C-suite stakeholders.

Strategic Acumen

The ability to identify "win-win" scenarios where a corporation’s goals meet the needs of the veteran community.

CRM Proficiency

Experience managing complex donor or sales pipelines (proficiency in tools like Flowlu is a plus).

Mission Dedication

A deep understanding of how project management serves as a critical life skill for reintegration.

Position Details

Type Volunteer / 100% Remote.

Time Commitment Approximately 3–5 hours per week.

Reporting Structure Direct report to the Director of Development or President.

Compliance All volunteers are expected to uphold the VPMMA Code of Conduct and strict confidentiality regarding donor data.
