Placers Professional is seeking a full-time, hybrid Legal Secretary/Paralegal for our premier client in Wilmington, DE.
What you will be doing:
You will be doing comprehensive administrative and litigation support to one or more attorneys and paralegals, ensuring efficient daily operations and case readiness. Responsibilities included managing timekeeping, billing, and accounting systems; calendaring court hearings, deadlines, and client meetings; and maintaining detailed case-related information within a case management system. Performed general office and operational duties such as ordering supplies and processing vendor and court-related invoices. Prepared, edited, and filed legal documents for various courts, including the Delaware Court of Chancery and Supreme Court, and drafted materials such as Notices of Appearance, trial exhibit lists, deposition designations, and related pleadings. Coordinated and distributed court filings through File & ServeXpress, organized electronic casebooks and briefing binders for printing and distribution, and maintained accurate pleadings and discovery indexes. Assisted attorneys in preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings, and conducted both legal and non-legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other court-related resources. Maintained organized paper and electronic filing systems to ensure timely access to records and compliance with court requirements. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required (Negotiable) 3-6 recent years of
prior litigation experience , preferably at least one of which at a peer market firm Must be available to work overtime Proficient with
Microsoft Office and Excel Experience with
File Serve Xpress
