About the Role We’re looking for a Retention Marketing Specialist to own and evolve our email and SMS marketing channels, balancing strategy, creativity, and analytics to drive growth. The ideal candidate is curious, test‑driven, and comfortable working with segmentation and dynamic content, with hands‑on experience in Klaviyo. Experience in DTC ecommerce email marketing is required.
This role is based in our Springville, Utah office 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end email marketing strategy, including email campaign planning, flows, segmentation, and optimization
Write & design compelling, on‑brand emails that drive engagement and conversion
Review agency‑created email content and provide clear feedback to ensure alignment with brand voice, messaging, and goals
Own A/B testing within email and use performance insights to optimize content, design, and segmentation
Create personalized messaging through advanced segmentation and dynamic content design
Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to align email with broader campaign launches and promotions
Analyze performance metrics (open rate, CTR, conversion, revenue, deliverability, etc.) and turn insights into action
Provide copywriting support and feedback across other channels, including Meta ads and SEO blogs
Own SMS marketing to support email efforts including campaigns, automated flows and customer interaction
Stay up to date on email marketing best practices and industry trends to drive continuous improvement
Ensure all written content aligns with brand voice, messaging strategy, and performance goals
Qualifications
Must have experience with DTC e-commerce brands
Proven experience with Klaviyo is a must
Strong eye for design with hands‑on email design experience
Strong knowledge of segmentation and personalization techniques and dynamic content
Comfortable working with analytics and reporting to guide decisions
Excellent copywriting skills transferable across email, paid media captions, product descriptions and more
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple campaigns at once
Comfortable giving feedback to align copy and design with the brand
