Sales Manager – Southern Germany, Austria & Switzerland (DACH South)

My client is seeking a
commercially driven, autonomous Sales Manager
to take full ownership of the
Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
region. This is a
business development led role
with responsibility for opening new business while managing selected strategic accounts.
This is a
critical hire
following a planned departure and requires someone who can
execute decisively, build momentum quickly, and deliver results
within a traditional, relationship led business.
Key Responsibilities
Full commercial responsibility for DACH South
Business development focus with some key account management
Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities
Sell feed additives including phytobiotics across the value chain:
Premix houses
Feed producers
Integrators
Selected farmers
Actively prospect via networking, referrals, and market presence
Independently manage customer meetings, negotiations, and deal execution
Deliver credible technical sales presentations, clearly linking value to commercial outcomes
Drive short-cycle opportunities while maintaining persistence in longer sales cycles
Own pipeline management, forecasting, and regional sales execution
Important:
This is a
purely commercial role . Product management, technical depth, and supply-chain responsibilities are handled separately.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience selling feed additives in animal nutrition
Strong business development background with some key account exposure
Solid technical understanding of ruminant nutrition
Working knowledge of monogastrics
Experience selling into DACH markets; Austria/Switzerland exposure advantageous
Highly autonomous, resilient, and relationship-led
Needs to be based in Southern Germany
Willing to travel across Austria and Switzerland
