Real Estate and Franchise Contracts Specialist

Join Jack in the Box Inc. as a Real Estate and Franchise Contracts Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in managing our real estate and franchise assets. This position involves drafting and managing legally binding documents for real estate and franchise transactions, ensuring compliance and supporting various internal teams. Key Responsibilities: Real Estate Responsibilities: Draft, review, and finalize Estoppels, SNDAs, and other real estate documents. Conduct file reviews and legal analyses for reimage/remodel projects. Secure Landlord and third-party plan approvals for remodeling projects. Process city and governmental applications for the Construction team. Maintain internal lease databases with detailed legal analyses. Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding lease obligations. Assist with real estate transactions, including purchase agreements and closing documentation. Franchise Responsibilities: Prepare the annual Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. Manage the franchise transaction process, including agreements, renewals, and terminations. Track and record franchisee FDD receipts. Develop a comprehensive plan for high-volume franchise renewals and collaborate with legal counsel. Provide ongoing legal support for franchisee inquiries and issues. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and paralegal certification. 5-6 years of relevant experience in real estate and franchise legal transactions. Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of general real estate and franchise laws. Excellent problem-solving skills and time management. Negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. This role is available at our corporate headquarters in San Diego, with a competitive pay range of $43.27-$61.06 hourly. If you are located in a different city and working remotely, salary will be adjusted based on local market conditions.
