Join our dynamic team as an International Freight Sales Specialist! We offer a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $125,000 plus lucrative commission opportunities. An established book of business is a valuable asset. To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 2 to 3 years of sales experience within the freight forwarding industry. About the Company Our client is a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, known for its extensive Freight Forwarding solutions across international waters. They leverage a robust partner network and cutting-edge technology to ensure seamless and cost-effective transportation of goods worldwide. Role Overview As the Business Development Manager (BDM), your key responsibilities will include acquiring and managing a book of business while enhancing regional import/export sales in air and ocean freight internationally. Key Responsibilities: Generate new business opportunities through research, prospecting, and relationship building. Grow market share within your assigned territory and meet financial targets for volume, revenue, and profit. Successfully secure new business and onboard clients. Enhance market share within the existing client base. Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through ongoing communication. Collaborate with the Pricing team on client pricing strategies and customer rate quotes. Monitor and manage client credit lines in accordance with Company guidelines. Regularly update the Company's CRM with client information. Provide monthly budget reviews and communicate progress to management. Client and Supplier Management: Utilize established tools to manage allocated customers and exceed targets. Follow up weekly with new clients after their first shipments. Ensure timely completion of customer requests relating to commercial activities at the highest service level. Adhere to client service level agreements. Qualifications: Proven ability to transfer current clients without any non-compete restrictions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams. Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding client needs. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems. Bringing an existing book of business is a plus.
