Produce Clerk Join our team as a Produce Clerk and play a vital role in creating an exceptional customer experience through outstanding service. Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit targets while upholding our high standards of quality assurance. Foster trust and respect among team members. Provide outstanding customer engagement, answering questions about products in the department and store. Develop and maintain product knowledge to offer informed suggestions. Assist in preparing produce platters and trays. Inform customers about produce specials and seasonal offers. Make personalized recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction. Prepare, package, label, and manage inventory of merchandise efficiently. Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate actions when necessary. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise to maintain organization. Report any discrepancies in product orders or shipments to the department manager. Exude a positive attitude and encourage a supportive atmosphere. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements. Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cases and coolers, and keep accurate temperature logs. Reinforce safety protocols by identifying unsafe conditions and reporting them promptly. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed. Report any accidents involving customers or employees to management. Alert management to any safety risks or illegal activities. Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment. Manage conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner. Act with integrity regarding customer and business information. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues effectively. Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Ability to handle stressful situations with poise. Effective communication skills are essential. Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction) required. A current food handler's permit will be necessary once employed.
