Responsibilities
Role model the 3As of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate our customers.
Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
Foster trust and respect among associates.
Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product-related questions.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of products in the department to assist customers effectively.
Assist in the preparation of produce platters and trays.
Inform customers about produce specials and promotions.
Recommend products to meet customer needs.
Prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise with care.
Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking the necessary actions when issues arise.
Label, stock, and maintain inventory of department merchandise.
Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager.
Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Stay updated with current and upcoming seasonal promotions.
Ensure that proper temperatures in coolers and cases are maintained and recorded.
Support safety programs by adhering to safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
Practice preventive equipment maintenance by identifying and reporting repair needs.
Notify management of any customer or employee accidents.
Report any safety risks or illegal activities, such as theft or fraud, to store management.
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
Manage conflicts in a calm and cooperative manner.
Uphold honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to solve customer and business issues.
Provide support and assistance directly to minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.

Qualifications
Ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
Strong communication skills.
Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
Current food handler's permit required once employed.
Desired Previous Job Experience
Experience in a comparable retail position.
Ability to communicate in a second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing) is a plus.
