GENERAL SUMMARY

Marketing Strategist plays a key role in developing, executing, and optimizing integrated marketing efforts that support member acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role participates in campaign planning and execution, manages social media strategy, executes email marketing initiatives, leverages marketing automation tools, and uses data-driven insights to guide decision-making. The ideal candidate blends creativity with analytical thinking, can think strategically while executing day-to-day marketing activities, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Campaign Management

Participate in the development of and timely execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to support credit union products, services, and strategic priorities. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Translating high-level brand strategy into actionable creative direction
  • Coordination and adherence to campaign timelines, creative assets, stakeholder reviews, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Monitoring campaign performance and recommending optimizations based on data insights.
  • Working closely with internal teams and external partners (agencies, designers, vendors) to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and aligned with brand standards.
  • Assist in developing, coordinating, producing, editing, proofing, and delivering digital campaigns and other marketing channels.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Use analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness, channel performance, member behavior, and ROI.
  • Develop dashboards and recurring reports to present insights to leadership.
  • Apply data-driven recommendations to create marketing lists, refine strategy, enhance segmentation, and improve member engagement.
  • Support ongoing market research, competitive analysis, and member insights initiatives.

Email Marketing Coordination

Plan, design, and execute as-needed member-facing emails to support the credit union’s various member lifecycle, cross-sell, retention, usage, and transactional communication needs. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Manage segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing to increase relevance and performance.
  • Ensure content is compliant with industry regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM) and internal governance guidelines.
  • Track email performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Marketing Automation

  • Manage day-to-day utilization of marketing automation platforms to build and optimize automated workflows and nurture journeys based on transactional triggers and other factors that would support our right message/right time objectives.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor and VP to integrate and predictive analytics and other data through available sources (i.e.. Datava, Savvy Money, Segmint, WithClutch) to improve targeting and efficiency
  • Track automated marketing campaign performance across utilized media channels (email, online banking, etc.) and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience; financial services or credit union experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, best practices, and trends.
  • Experience with email marketing tools and marketing automation platforms.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities

Ensure that work results and processes comply with relevant laws and with established NIHFCU policies, procedures, and practices, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).Attend all required training or complete and pass all online required training courses as applicable.

Salary Ranges: $70,210-$87,761 ; Exempt position.
