
Training Specialist – TSM SME (Sales Enablement)

The Training Specialist serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) trainer for Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), with a primary focus on onboarding and sales enablement. This role is responsible for facilitating new-hire orientation, delivering system and process training, and developing training materials that support sales effectiveness and customer-facing conversations.
Approximately 75% of this role is focused on onboarding new employees, including orientation to the organization, core systems, and sales workflows. The remaining time supports ongoing training initiatives, content development, and system updates. Primary systems include speedDIAL and Salesforce.
Training Specialist Job Responsibilities
Facilitate onboarding and orientation sessions for all new TSM employees
Assess new employees’ skills and experience to tailor training approaches and ensure alignment with company expectations
Train new and existing employees on sales systems, tools, and workflows, including speedDIAL and Salesforce
Translate company operations, programs, and benefits into clear, customer-facing value conversations
Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, visual aids, process documentation, and reference guides
Deliver and support training workshops, both virtual and in-person
Evaluate training methods and materials to ensure effective engagement, comprehension, and adoption
Collect feedback and assess training effectiveness to support continuous improvement
Coordinate administrative aspects of training, including scheduling sessions, managing invitations, and coordinating logistics for in-person events
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay aligned with system updates, process changes, and organizational priorities
Travel Requirement
Approximately 25% travel (average of one week per month) for in-person training and onboarding events
Qualifications
Strong organization and planning skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present information clearly and respond effectively to questions
Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of sales and service environments
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across functions and levels
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Education And/or Experience
5+ years of automotive industry experience or
Equivalent experience as a certified facilitator or instructor in a sales, operations, or customer-facing training environment
Posted Salary Range USD $53,000.00 - USD $71,000.00 /Yr.
