We are seeking a creative and collaborative Interior Designer I or II with a Bachelor's (four-year degree) or Master’s degree in interior design, along with NCDIQ licensure and 5-8 years of experience.

Perform assignments under the direction of senior staff, but not under immediate supervision, and with responsibility for developing interiors scope of work and documenting a project’s design.

Receives design and technical guidance from jetpacks and incorporates feedback into the project.

Fully responsible for complete construction documentation, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, interior details, millwork design, furniture layouts, finish plans, and schedules

Fully competent in all aspects of all phases of the design process and FF&E.

Liaise directly with General Contractors and design team Consultants on design coordination, costs, and value-engineering solutions.

Reviews and redlines drawings for internal and external coordination.

Responsible for compliance with building codes and ADA guidelines per project type and protocols.

Coordinate directly with furniture vendors and review design intent and budget compliance proposals.

Able to arrange and prioritize work on multiple projects in various phases and manage, mentor, and train junior staff

Independent role in construction phase services with minimal oversight, including attending OACs, site visits, field reports, submittal, RFI review, and punch-list.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Learn the SSA design process and project software, including ArchiCAD and Sketchup

Complete the design process from pullback to detailed working drawings in accordance with the project proposal

Ability to present design concepts to internal & external stakeholders

Attend client meetings and design critiques

Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team

Aptness to manage time and execution of tasks on several projects

Highly organized with the ability to juggle several tasks in a fast‑paced environment

Familiarity with space planning methodology

Intermediate sketching and rendering skills

Working knowledge of construction documentation and procedures

Intermediate MS Office Suite skills

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
