The Opportunity As a
consultant
on our team, you will play a meaningful role in shaping policy solutions that impact communities and organizations throughout Michigan. This is an ideal role for early‑career professionals seeking:

What You’ll Do Research and Content Development As a key contributor to PSC’s reputation for quality research and deliverables, you’ll:
Conduct and analyze policy research at the local, state, and national levels
Translate data and findings into clear, compelling reports and strategy documents
Draft and edit research reports, grant applications, and client materials
Collect, analyze, and summarize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights
Apply PSC’s quality standards to ensure accuracy and excellence in every deliverable
Project and Client Support To ensure successful client engagements, you’ll:
Support the planning and facilitation of meetings, focus groups, and workshops
Manage research tasks across multiple projects simultaneously
Conduct stakeholder interviews and assist with other engagement efforts
Help ensure projects stay on track and clients receive timely, high‑quality work products
Interact professionally and positively with clients as part of a project team

What We’re Looking For Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience
One to three years of relevant experience
Demonstrated research, writing, and analytical skills
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with other computer software is a plus, including familiarity with AI, ArcGIS, Tableau, or SPSS

Compensation and Benefits Salary Range:
$63,086–$94,629 (based on education and experience)

Work Style While PSC does not have strict in‑office expectations, consultants should anticipate spending two to three days per week in our Lansing or Detroit office for client and firm meetings.
